How often have you asked: “What are your plans for today?” or “What are your plans for the weekend?” or “What are your plans for the holidays?” But have you ever asked: “What are God’s plans?”
Jeremiah 29:11 says, “For I know the plans I have for you”, declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” This has become my life verse.
Doesn’t that sound wonderful: Prosperity, safety, hope, and a future. God wants the best for us!
Yet, I have not always lived my life according to God’s plans. There have been times I thought my plans were better – I went my own way. And things didn’t turn out so great.
But God, in His gracious love and mercy, accepts me just as I am. He grants me forgiveness, salvation, and new life through faith in His Son, Jesus Christ.
Here’s what God’s PLANS mean to me:
P – prosperity
L – love
A – acceptance
N – new life
S – salvation
What could be better than that? As I continue to seek God and entrust my plans to Him, He leads me in the way that is best. And He has special plans for you, too!
So, what are God’s plans for you? What is your life verse? Remember that in God, you can have hope for the future!
