Remember September

September represents three important aspects of life: Learn, Love, and Laugh. You will find a thought-provoking question under each section to help you remember.

Learn

September means back to school! Unlimited learning opportunities await.  As Vernon Howard said, “Always walk through life as if you have something new to learn and you will.”

A year ago I began an exhilarating learning journey which changed my life forever – I was trained as a life coach. Soon I will complete the requirements to become a Certified Professional Co-Active Coach. There have been many moments of realization along the way. Here are my most significant lessons: Simply notice. Be in the moment. Trust my intuition.

What is your most significant learning?

Love

September brings the weddings of three amazing young couples – Alexis & Phil, Caitlyn & Ethan, Stef & Paul. It is an honor to witness their love and commitment to each another!

So, what is love? 1 Corinthians 13:4-8a tells us what love is and what love is not: “Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. Love never fails.”

What is love to you?

Laugh

September is a time to laugh and celebrate – Happy Birthday to all who were born this month!

My husband Bruce & I share the birthday month of September and we celebrate together each year. Our wedding rings are a meaningful reminder: the sapphire represents our birthstone and the diamond represents our love.

Last year on my birthday I asked myself: What is the purpose of my life?  This led to intense soul-searching, hard work, and discovery (including some laughs along the way!). In answer to this question, I stumbled across a quote from Mark Twain that has become one of my favorites: “The two most important days in your life are the day you are born, and the day you find out why.”

What is your life purpose?
