Find Your Dream

What is your dream? The dream that is so energizing, your fingertips tingle. The dream that is so moving, your eyes well up. The dream that is so fulfilling, you simply must have it to be complete – to accomplish your purpose. You know – your dream!

Recently my dream was identified. Immediately I got hung up on HOW it would be accomplished: HOW will I have the time? HOW will I meet my financial obligations? HOW will I know what to do? HOW will my dream become a reality (and not a nightmare)?

And then, one of my coaching instructors gave me the answer that changed my life. He simply said, “The answer to HOW? is YES!”

Wait . . . what?!?

“The answer to HOW? is YES!”

Ok – I get it! Stop trying to figure it out. Set my intention, and go after my dream. Get out of my head and tap into my heart. And be prepared for miracles along the way!

That is exactly what I did. I stopped trying so hard. I started trusting more. The Bible verse I claimed daily was Proverbs 3:5&6 – “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and do not rely on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will direct your path.”

So, I stopped trying to figure it out. And when I let go, amazing things started to happen. Answers came from unexpected sources. Miracles occurred that I could not explain. My dream became a reality, and I am now complete. It is so fulfilling to be “livin’ the dream!”

One of my favorite movies is The Sound of Music. My wish for you is captured in the words to one of the songs from that classic film:

“Climb every mountain, search high and low, follow every by-way, every path you know. Climb every mountain, ford every stream, follow every rainbow, till you find your dream. A dream that will need all the love you can give. Every day of your life, for as long as you live. Climb every mountain, ford every stream, follow every rainbow, till you find your dream!”
